REFUNITE PRESENTS DESIGN SOLUTIONS AT DESIGN MATTERS CONFERENCE
Design Matters 2016 has just come to an end after two days of talks, shark tank sessions, and workshops in Langelinie Pavillionen, a beautiful and historic location on the waterfront in Copenhagen, Denmark. On 28th and 29th September 2016, the conference brought together international designers and entrepreneurs, whose innovations are at the cutting edge of the technology and digital worlds. The focus of this year at Design Matters was the exploration of new and different ways to interact with apps and websites from a product and digital design perspective. Each guest speaker presented their innovation and what makes the interaction between a user and the interface a more personal and unique experience.
Our Director of Global Communication and Strategy was invited to the conference and had the chance to speak about REFUNITE, sharing the stories and processes involved in designing for refugees. Together with other Danish entrepreneurs, Ida Jeng spoke at the event to talk about the challenges inherent to our work and some of the solutions we have developed to overcome them. Design Matters 2016 was a good chance for us as a team to rethink about digital products and digital design as we know them, and to emphasize how central the people we design for and with at REFUNITE are.
