Ericsson partnered with REFUNITE in 2010 and assisted with the development and deployment of a mobile phone application to further support reconnections, laying the groundwork for the mobile platform used today.

On the ground outreach is done in collaboration with Interaid and Xavier Project in Uganda.

IKEA Foundation partners with REFUNITE on the East African outreach, supporting placement of tech-equipped staff in Kenya, Tanzania, Somaliland and Ethiopia to assist refugees in signing up for the family tracing service.
