I’m a Congolese refugee in Kampala, who arrived alongside my mother and sisters in Uganda in 1996 fleeing war from the Eastern region of DRC. I’ve learned Luganda & English but the day to day life is always a challenge, therefore small jobs like cleaning people’s houses were the only way to survive.
